Optima

Open transfer and innovation management

With Graz Technical University, Joanneum Research and with the support of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency the Styrian Impulse Centres have developed a programme with Optima in order to help technology-oriented businesses to implement new innovations. New methods and approaches to "open" innovation were developed jointly in order to provide efficient support to small and medium-sized Styrian businesses to realise their ideas. More than 30 companies from the Styrian regions were able to further develop and implement their projects as part of pilot projects through the active promotion of innovation and individual knowledge transfer between Styrian researchers. Because of positive feedback by businesses, this offer will in any case be continued.

The Institute for Systemic Development developed the idea for the project with the partners, carried out the detailed concept and prepared the documentation for the promotional competition that could successfully be won. Subsequently it coordinated and supported its realisation.
