Employment and growth potential for Styrian micro-enterprises

In the year 2009 the start-up centre for entrepreneurs Styria carried out a study for micro-enterprises in Styria. 400 representatively selected Styrian micro-enterprises with up to 10 employees were chosen and questioned about the current situation and future perspectives.

The results of the study showed that the Styrian micro-enterprises have an unusually high growth and employment potential. The Styrian economy alone has had an employment potential of more than 10,000 new workplaces within 2 years.
At the same time micro-enterprises require a high degree of support for financing and company management issues due to limited resources.

The study listed in detail what measures are required to fully realise the potential employment effect for the Styrian economy.

The Institute for Systemic Development consulted the organisers of the study regarding the conception, scientific realisation and professional analysis.
